The games automatically save themself with it if you move the game to another ds it will be where you were up to with the same memory

it doenst use one, the memore for the games are saved on the game cards themselves, it makes it a lot easier though

The Nintendo DS doesn't use a memory card to save game data. The data saves directly into the game. That's why when you insert your game into your friend's DS console the save data will still be there because the memory is saved onto the game and not the DS console.
